“Sean and I worked on many successful projects together in LA over many years. I can’t say enough about his devotion to his craft, precise attention to detail and his eternally impressive talent. On top of that we remain the closest of friends after 20 odd years. Love you Seany!”

We've been lucky enough to do every record with Sean McLaughlin at 37' Productions - this includes a 5-song EP and 2 full length albums - our latest album reaching #2 on the U.S. iTunes Country Album Chart.

Sean has an arsenal of top session musicians at his fingertips; session musicians that every songwriter dreams of working with. Not only that, but he is a composer himself. When we come to our pre-production meeting with acoustic demos, his wheels get turning on how each song will come to life in the studio. He helps compose and build our songs with a big picture vision from the ground up.

There have also been times where we've had a clear vision ourselves, which he is able to execute flawlessly in instrumentation and production. Personally, as a vocalist, he's able to get the very best out of me behind the mic, sometimes digging deep emotionally or with the illusion of partying with high energy. He's my best friend in the headphones giving me sound advice on what I need to hit again, and what I slayed...but still need to hit again "just in case". The vocals always, always, always come out crisp and extremely professional with varying effects, just as we like them.

It's been an honor to work with such a talented individual, but even more so a great person. He's the perfect combination of getting down to business on making masterpieces and catching up with an old friend. I can't imagine working with anyone else and I can't wait to cut the next record with Sean at 37'.”

“The vast majority of the drum tracks I’ve recorded over the last decade have been with Sean at 37’ Productions.  I think we’ve both lost count!  He always sets up a great flow for the session, the sounds are superb in both drum rooms, headphone mixes perfect.  His production and arrangement ideas always bring out the best in my playing and there is never, ever a dull moment.  Sean’s my guy!”

“37’ productions is the Nerve Center of the Savtones. All of my records are recorded there. Sean and Zach are my 1st choice for all things recording and mixing. Their space is versatile, the mic collection is stellar, they’ve got great amps and drums for any projects that comes there way. The atmosphere is relaxed and professional. I am both a client and a contractor. It’s my favorite place to work.”

“Sean is the kind of person who feels like family as soon as you enter his studio. His flexibility, ideas and skill-range as producer, super talented and creative recording & mix engineer, and even mentor make him an incredible asset / partner for any artist in any genre. Personally, I worked with him as bassist, engineer and mix engineer for my first record, and then chose to work with him as producer as well, for every album since. He took me step by step through the process and any speed bump we encountered felt like an anthill as the process rolled on under his umbrella of expertise. Sean is proficient, person-centered and warm, and can produce a pristine and top-notch product in any style. Not to mention he's one of my favorite people, bassists (he played in my band for several years) and friends. I can't wait to record with him again soon!”

“My first experience recording in a studio was with Sean in 37’ Productions. My English wasn’t the best, but he was very kind and patient with me, that made me feel very comfortable and confident. I had the opportunity to record in different studios, but without a doubt my best experience has been at 37 'Productions.”

"As someone who has been in the industry for over half my life, I have come to understand finding the right fit with a producer is more important than accolades. That being said, I don't think I've ever met someone more dedicated to executing an artist's vision more than Sean at 37'. I've had the opportunity to work with him on a few different projects now, and no matter the genre or style of content, he brings a consistent openness and passion that is rare for most people let alone a producer. His experience and vision make for a finished product that was elevated above what I had imagined and hoped for. Grateful to have such a gem right here in our backyard"

“Extreme comfort... that’s the only word to describe the room, the studio, the setup, and the collaboration that happens at 37’ Productions.  Having that kind of comfort and lack of tension in such a creative environment allows an artist to really thrive”

“I've been working with Zach for over a year, and highly recommend him. He’s reliable (never cancelled), punctual (never late), professional (knows his tools—mics, software, hardware, amps, whatever), focused (not looking at his phone or distracted in any way), efficient (greased lightning at the keyboard), patient (never a pained sigh after requests for … anything!), supportive (has a producer's attitude whether he’s producing or not), percipient (tuned-in esthetically, good ears and attitude), and just plain enjoyable to hang out with. Older and wiser than his years.”

Matt Walsh

“Zach and I have produced multiple records together and continue to get satisfying professional results each time. Zach’s ability to be competent and formal in a studio setting mixed with his personalized approach to each recording makes him stand out among others. Not only does Zach own and have access to some of the best tools, instruments, and studios both vintage and contemporary but his natural curiosity and fine-tuned ear allow him to achieve any sound you are looking for. Zach’s ability to mix recordings along the way was time-efficient and also helped me see the bigger picture.”

“Sean has been an amazing partner and source of support during all our projects together. He is always clear and quick to answer, open to unconventional ideas, and never rests until his clients are satisfied. His patience and expertise provided so much security for an inquisitive, budding artist like myself - giving me the encouragement to constantly experiment and the freedom to focus on the music. In addition, he makes every recording, production, and mixing experience enjoyable with his wonderful energy and warmth. I've been so blessed to have Sean on my team as a professional and even more so as a mentor and friend.”

He takes the time to get to the very soul of each song and not only listens to what you are trying to achieve but has this innate ability to know what you are trying to accomplish without having to over-explain it.
